Why Fans Think Dancing With The Stars Eliminations Are Rigged

A Tik Tok user has gone viral after recent accusation that the Dancing With The Stars eliminations are rigged. Here’s her reasoning for thinking this.

As the competition nears the semi-finals, fans are starting to think the Dancing With The Stars eliminations are actually rigged. Following Monday night’s Halloween Night, Jordin Sparks was eliminated from the competition. Jordin and her pro partner Brandon Armstrong found themselves in the bottom two against Heidi D’Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev. The judges ultimately voted to keep Heidi over Jordin.

Prior to Dancing With the Stars’ Halloween Night, Tik Tok user @GenniferJordyn took to the social media platform to possibly expose the show for rigging the weekly eliminations. While browsing on the ticket website 1iota, she noticed something strange about the guests on Tuesday’s episode of the Tamron Hall Show. Prior to the most recent elimination even happening, both Daniel Durant and Britt Stewart were scheduled to be on Tuesday’s live episode of the talk show.

DWTS Fans Thought Daniel Was Going To Be Eliminated

Typically, the eliminated couple will appear on talk shows the morning after the live show airs. Because Daniel and Britt were scheduled to appear on the Tamron Hall Show, which films in New York City, the day after Halloween Night, fans assumed they were set to be eliminated from the competition. This assumption led to the allegation that the show’s weekly eliminations are rigged. This accusation was later shut down when Jordin and Brandon were the ones actually eliminated from the competition.

Prior to the airing of Halloween Night, the comments section of the TikTok video was filled with fans encouraging others to vote to keep Daniel and Britt safe. Then, following the conclusion of Monday night’s live episode, the TikTok user posted a follow-up video to her original post. The user questioned if she, along with the rest of the TikTok users who encouraged others to vote to keep Daniel and Britt safe, were the reason the duo was not eliminated. She noted how ironic it was that Daniel and Britt were the first of all the couples that were announced safe by co-hosts Alfonso Riberio and Tyra Banks.

Other fans did note that it is in fact common for Dancing With The Stars duos to appear on talk shows following the live show despite not being eliminated. Luckily for Daniel and Britt this theory was not true, and the couple is safe for another week. Whether the eliminations are rigged is unclear; however, it is clear that fans’ votes do in fact play a large role in the couples advancing in the competition week after week.

Dancing with the Stars streams Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on Disney+.
